Help Us Tell 100,000+ People How to Help Haiti

We’re sure so many of you, like us, are glued to the TV, absolutely horrified at the recent tragedy in Haiti. Our hearts break for those people who are suffering and searching for loved ones. Though some have had happy endings, so many have not. Every little thing we can do to help will hopefully make a difference for someone.

Today, our company is contributing $1500 to UNICEF’S Haiti Relief. This week, we want you to help us tell 100,000+ people how they can help those in Haiti. At the end of the week, we will donate another $1500 as a thank you for your efforts to raise awareness.

We are featuring links to four great organizations – UNICEF, AMERICAN RED CROSS, SAVE THE CHILDREN, AMERICARES – where our readers and fans can go to contribute to relief funds. Whether or not you donate money at this time, there are two other ways you can help us raise awareness:

1. Share this link on Facebook by posting it publicly to your profile for all of your friends to see in their newsfeeds. Just click the “share” button that appears underneath this link on our Facebook page, and a window will pop up for you to include your own message along with the link. Once you’ve done this, please let us know by posting a comment on our Facebook page so we know we’re getting closer to our goal.

2. Use “Facebook Connect” to comment on this post at FINE ART OF FAMILY. “Facebook Connect” (below) lets you make your comment public for all your friends to see, thereby, letting them know how they can get involved. Say something like “Here are 4 ways to contribute to Haiti relief.”

We want to get as many posts and comments out there as possible. Social media gives us great power to spread the word to thousands with a single click. If 1,000 people (that’s about half of our Facebook fans!) post and get the news out to about 100 of their friends, we could hit our target of 100,000 people. Even contributing a few dollars could really make a difference. Thank you!
